DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products Appoints Lipscomb Chemical as Distributor for Zemea® USP
Wilmington, DE., July 17, 2014 – DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products Company LLC is excited to announce that it has appointed Lipscomb Chemical Company as one of its distributors of Zemea®USP propanediol in the food and beverage markets. The distribution agreement covers Mexico and the following USA western states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Lipscomb Chemical has been distributing the company’s Zemea® propanediol in the cosmetics and personal care market since 2006.
Zemea® USP propanediol is a natural, 100 percent biobased solvent and humectant made from fermentation of glucose from corn starch. It is an environmentally sustainable alternative to petroleum-based glycols and glycerin, where the product’s unique solubility, improved taste properties, preservative effects and humectancy offers benefits in food, beverage and flavor applications.
