DuPont Tate & Lyle to Present “Zemea® Propanediol Performance in Sunscreen Applications”
Wilmington, DE., October 27, 2016 – Glycols are key ingredients in many of today’s cosmetic and personal care products, in roles as varied as solvents, humectants, emollients and sensorial modifiers. Formulators in search of a natural alternative to petroleum-based glycols have a high-performing, skin-friendly option in the form of Zemea® propanediol. DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products will be presenting “Zemea® Propanediol Performance in Sunscreen Applications” at in-cosmetics Asia, Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at 12:45 p.m. ICT in the Innovation Seminar Theater.

The presentation discusses how Zemea® propanediol is effective in the formulation of innovative sun protection products, primarily daily facial moisturizers with SPF. Zemea® propanediol is an exemplary solvent for both Ensulizole and Sulisobenzone, allowing formulators to maintain the effectiveness of these actives keeping each of these in solution through the evaporation process on the skin.
